FOr factory ammo, I always go cheap first. If 130 grain corelokts shoot--USE THEM.
Great deer round.

I would start with 150gr and if it does not like that go down 10gr or 20gr. 150gr Partition is a good one to start at. +1 -

If you want to keep it simple....For whitetails and the like, 130 grain Fusions...
For everything else, 130 grain Federal Premium TSX's.

+whatever on the Fusions. In quite a few rifles they are as accurate as they come for factory fodder. I would have no qualms about using the 150gr Fusion all the way up to elk.
I grabbed 100 rounds for a new .270 because I was moving and knew it would be a while before I get set up again. Well after less then a box I was thinking about not even getting dies for it and just running the fusion for everything.
Hunt hard, kill clean, waste nothing and offer no apologies.

Clay is selling a potpourri of factory .270 rounds in the classifieds right now. Good chance to see if your rifle likes any of them. SD

Federal Premiums in 130 or 150 gr Nosler Partitions is where it's at for factory fodder.

Savage 99, I will most often shooting at a range of <200yds. I will be using this rifle for hunting muley and blacktail bucks and Roosevelt and Rocky Mt. elk. I think 130gr will be fine for the deer. With elk I would think 140-150gr....?
