This isn't a trap-line question, but I thought someone on here could answer this for me. I am having a big problem with these little devils making their mounds all over the lawn and now in the garden. I was wondering how to get rid of them.

Thanks.

If it's pocket gophers you have, I have found the Macabee or the Death Clutch traps to work well:

Pocket gopher seem to be a bit wary sometimes though. I always had the best luck buy getting as much of the trap imbedded into the tunnel's floor as possible, then plugging the hole well so that the animal would not see the hooks and the trigger mechanism.

For moles, I had very good luck catching them in tunnels out on the lawn with the Victor spear type (#O645) trap.

There can be a bit of a learning curve in catching either animal in my experience, but once you have it figured out, they aren't difficult.

Look in Farmhardware.com for a Black Hole Rodent Trap.It is the only one I have found to work. As little as 20 minutes but sometimes over night.

Trapped a lot of pocket gophers for bounty when I was a young un. I always used death clutches. They usually have a series of mounds; I'd start probing on one of the end mounds, as the death clutch works best at the end of the tunnel. Set the trigger a light as possible, and cover the hole with a hand full of long grass.

If you love someone set them free
If they come back no one else liked them
Set them free again
