My sheep rifle wears a 6X42 Leupie with the L.R. dots in Talley lightweights.
If I was shooting gophers, it may not be the best choice. For hunting big game, it's perfect.
Anybody who seriously concerns themselves with the adequacy of a Big 7mm for anything we hunt here short of brown bear, is a dufus. They are mostly making shidt up. Crunch! Nite-nite!

On my 300wsm I have a 3.5-10x40 VXIII and Talley L/W's its not a bad way to fly....

Fixed 6x42 leup in DNZ bases, both are as bullet proof as it comes.
Hunt hard, kill clean, waste nothing and offer no apologies.

Put the rest of the money down on a McMillan EDGE stock. That gets you 14 to 15 weeks to get another $300.00 to pay off the new and AWESOME stock. Would be a dam fine sheep rifle....randy..
