Who's all gonna make it there this weekend and what days and time do you plan on being there?

If it's possible, I'd like to meet up with some of the forum members who plan on attending there. I probably won't be there until around noon or so on Saturday since I have to check my trapline tomorrow morning and get some predator calling in. I might also be there Sunday.

Matt,
I'll be arriving from Soldotna around 9:30 to 10:00 am Tomorrow. Sat is the only day I can attend, but I'll be there for most of the day. I hope to be the guy carring around a new (to me) 6.5 Rem. or some other such nonsence! Whats the best way to meet up?
best,
bhtr

Well, back from the gun show. About as good as the one last year, though, I didn't buy anything. I did see a BRNO Mauser 98 (I think that's what it was, it had 3-position safety that went up and down) chambered in 358 Norma for $425. I was very tempted to buy it.

Looked for you, but did not see you... I tried to sell a rifle and didn't, did not want to buy a rifle or a shotgun, but bought one of each!

Got a SUCKS 721 action for $100 and an 870 for $140, though I had to buy the barrel and action seperately... Felt like I did good!

Art,

I was keeping an eye out for you as well, but I didn't get there until around noonish or later. I had to take my mother to the hospital early this morning because of chest/stomach pains she was having, and she's still there now.

Sounds like you did good. I saw a table that had about 5 actions on it, but nothing that I saw that I wanted. Is that where you picked up that action?

The biggest rip-off I saw there was a Winchester Model 70 classic S/S 30-06 for $950!! LMAO!!! I was tempted to tell the dude he was about $400 to high.

Guys,
I just got back home from the show and I'm sorry to say that I couldn't figure out how to run across any of you. KKAlaska sent his cell # but I failed to check my personal mssg. last evening.

I am somewhat dissappointed in that I wasn't able to find a 6.5 there...but thats the way it goes. I also saw the 358 Norma but, after just purchasing a second Whitworth 458 Winny, owning a 416 Taylor and a .338 winny, I just about have all of my bear/moose/bison bases covered. Did almost trip up over a 375 Mark X with the express sights; would have made a great second to the 458. I'm just a little picky when it comes to finish and will hold out for a full whitworth later. (guess I just fibbed as relates the previous sentence, huh!) Did get a good buy on a couple of boxes of Rem factory 458 x 510 grainers. I'll make sure one of my friends shoot those!

Well, perhaps another time will allow a meeting with some of you fellows. I'll be looking forward to it. Until then,
best,
bhtr

ps. As bud and I were driving through Sterling, the temp indicator on the Cherokee said -39 below! Temp averaged about -25 below all the way to Girdwood.
