OP Chrome Campfire Regular Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 1,966 Georgia USA	My new Savage Model 14 arrived today. Its a nice rifle. First new Savage that I've owned since my wife (girl friend at the time) bought me a new Model 99 back in the early 80's. Has nice wood and the action is as smooth as the inside of a kroil can.

It's a little older than your there, it's a pre-accutrig if that helps date it any. It's a classic euro & I have not run across another like it yet. The did a great job with this stock, pics don't do it justice, the reviel for the floated barrel was perfect, It came that way, I simply glas bed it to hold it true. Ours is in 30-06, It's my wife's rifle actually but I'm pretty fond of it. rock on with that bad 114 chrome!!! Dave Something clever here.

The .338 does not come in the 14 or 114 as a standard caliber, however they do offer the .300 Win Mag. Maybe they would build one in a non-standard caliber like they did Chrome.
