I'd like to hear from as many of you as possible.

Do you have a rifle that seems to kill game better than it's kick (or lack there of) would otherwise indicate?

If so, what game are we talking about, with what bullet and at what ranges?

Also, if you have ever noticed - do you have a rifle that kicks you far more than it's results on game indicate it should?

If so, what game, bullets and ranges have caused you to form this opinion?

Yep, the ones with muzzle breaks.....

270 win - deer, goat, sheep, moose, black bear, caribou - 130 or 150 gr corelokts or partitions - from 12 yards to over 300 - top performance for the recoil imo. ymmv.

7X57 is definitely one that kills far better than it feels like it should, and does so on everything from gophers to grizzlies!

6.5x55 Swede with 140 grain bullets. Lots of kill with extremely little kick.

For killing game better than it's kick would otherwise indicate it is hard to beat a 30-06 and they don't kick much. If I still had one it has to be a 150 gr 300 Savage.

I have killed most everything with it. No Sage rats but grey diggers, squirrels,rabbits, badgers, coyotes, crows, deer [3 kinds], bear and elk. Grouse too when it has been a legal method.

I have used 125/130 [NBT/HSP], 165 [IB,NPT,Speer Hot Core and Grand Slam, Hornady BT, TBBC, FS, X and a few others] and 180 gr [C/L, IL, NPT, TBBC, FS, X and Power Point]bullets most of the time.

Oddly I have only shot a few 150's, 200's and 220's over the years.

Ranges; Varmints-As far as I can see them. Deer-Longest shot with an '06 [That we actually measured] 285 yards. Elk 125 yards
[measured]. Bear 75 yards [estimated].

Hard kicking? a LW 308 Norma Mauser before I put a Limbsaver on it. It's performance on game has been fine. Again, I don't own one at the moment but 7 mm Remington mags seem to kick all out of proportion to their effectiveness.

The 7mm/08 seems to kill out of proportion to it's recoil, as does the .257 Roberts.

I have owned one .300 Winchester Magnum, and two .300 Weatherby magnums. As the old timers used to say in the hills, "they kill on one end and cripple on the other."

For me in the "kill-em" side - it's my 22 CHeetah with 53 gr Barnes X's on deer. Flattens them - and I can hardly feel it.

On the "kick's-me" side - my 7mmSTW doesn't seem to flatten anything quicker than my 7mm-08 does - but it kicks more than twice as much as it does!

I have always thought that the 257BOB and 7mm-08 were pretty efficient killers...

I have never thought that the 7mmRM or even the 300WM though they don't really kick that much offered much more killing power than the additional recoil you have.

I have a pretty wide assortment of guns and the more game I kill with my nice light handy 257, 7mm-08's, etc. The more I find myself leaving my big magnums in the safe.

I had a Winchester Model 94 30/30 that seemed to kick worse then anything I owned. It just seemed to fit in & try to seperate my shoulder. Hard plastic plate no recoil pad. Don't know if all of them kick like that one did, will have to try my brothers.

I shot a mule deer doe with .257 Weatherby with Barnes TSX 115's that was prtty devistating, but doesn't seem any rifle kicks much when hunting, just on the bench to me.

I've taken the majority of my animals with a .300 Win. It kicked, but with a good pad and a stock that fit, I got used to it. Since then, I've had three .270 Wins that have taken whitetail, mule deer, antelope, and two elk with Horn. 140s and 150s that did very well with quite mild recoil.
The worst kicking rifle I had was and old Ruger MK1 in 30-06 someone had restocked. It was very light and with the small stock with a steel buttplate, it was brutal. The first time I shot it a friend and I had put a box out and I was shooting resting on a snowmachine. The first shot popped me in the nose pretty good. Not wanting to look like a wussy, I held on tight and shot again. (Yes, not too bright of me.) It hit me so hard on the nose it took the skin from the ball of my nose off up over an inch. I was just starting my freshman year of college. Meeting girls was a little extra hard with the big black scab on my mose for the next two months. I hated that gun.

Kill em...I'd have to say the .22 centerfires with X bullets. Kick em was a .338 WM in a browning stalker lighweight...brutal

.22 Rimfires, of both LR and WMR varieties.

25-06 seems to make deer go down awfully fast.
