I'm waiting for JB and Charlie Sisk to do up a 9.3 RCM.

Logistics favor the Whelen by a goodly margin.

Think it'll be another BS cartridge?

My 416/375 Ruger dies were ordered from Hornady and so will the 404/375 dies as they are about half cost of RCBS..I have a 404/375 barreled action at this time but its not together as I found one of Butch Searcy old African Mauser actions with a new Lothar Walther 404 Jefferys barrel stuck in it, so I will finish that one before I tackle the 404/375 Ruger...My 416/375 Ruger is for sale in the classified on this forum with pictures and also on GunsAmerica and Gould has it listed on Guns Internationa. It is a full blown custom and and super nice.. I am convienced this Ruger case will fly big time, it is what a lot of officiendos have been clammering for over the last 50 years a short action and a non belted short case that will equal the big belted cases, so now they have it, but the same guys are now squalling who needs it, wouldn't you know it!!! But its a neat case and the Chatfield Taylor calibers can be punched out to it for a $50 bill, and they you have a factory marked round..not a bad deal. I see a good future for it.

Well if I ever shoot out the 358 STA a 358 Ruger would be right in so many ways.

I am certainly looking forward to using one and expect it should be popular both here in Alaska among bear guides, as well as in Africa.

358 RCM, and the 358 Ruger.. I wanted to do one of each the first day Ruger announced the two cases.. But finances have not allowed. How do you think they would compare to the 358 Norma? My Gibbs cases are taking up to much of my time to make...

As some of you may know, I put my 416 Ruger up for sale and it sold a few days ago..I really liked that rifle...I intended and so stated that my next project would be a 404 Ruger, but a deal for one of Butch Searcys old bolt actions and a 404 Lothar Walther barrel came up and the barrel was chambered for the great 404 Jefferys, so thats in the process of being built..I have about finished the stock except for finish and checkering..I think I will probably just keep this one, its nostalgic and a wonderful cartridge that I have used extensively in Africa many times and it will do it all...Maybe the 404 Ruger will remain on my "to do" list and maybe not, who knows???
