This past friday, two friends who are traditional bowhunters came over to deer hunt. Randy brought his eight year old daughter and they set up their Double Bull blind at the edge of the clearcut while Mike hunted in the woods about 100 yards away.

As the evening passed on, Mike said he heard a lot of comotion coming from the area where Randy was located. Mike said he heard several screams followed by a few choice words. As this was going on, a doe ran toward Mike, so he took the shot and got a decent doe.

Randy and his daughter heard something walking (not) in the leaves, but they never saw anything. It was getting close to dark so he figured a deer was nearby. His daughter told Randy that something came into the blind with them, but Randy dismissed it. This is when the fun begins. Randy moved his recurve that was in the corner and he moved something as he got his bow. He turned on a flashlight to see a COPPERHEAD coiled up! He took his arrow and pinned the snake with the broadhead as his daughter made a quick exit. He ended up beating the snake with a rock. All the comotion sent a doe running toward Mike, who won out in this one.

His daughter is fine and she is laughing about it now. Randy has had a few encounters with nature this year. Two months ago, Mike and Randy were at a local archery club shooting on the indoor range at night. Mike was working on his bow and Randy stepped out the door into the dark to get a few tools. Randy saw something a few feet away in the corner of his eyes and it took a few seconds for him to realize he was looking right at a black bear that was looking for garbage. Mike said Randy let out a girlish screetch and ran back inside the door to do an encoure of Uncle Buck.....ba...ba...ba....BEAR! Last Saturday Randy went to his stand and found that wasps now occupied the stand. He got stung 5-6 times 15 feet off the ground. Not a good year from him. But we are all laughing now.

Biden's most truthful quote ever came during his first press conference, 03/25/21.
Drum roll please...... "I don't know, to be clear." and THAT is one promise he's kept!!!
