Just posted on website.

In response to the recent article highlighting Dan Coopers personal political donations, the board of directors, shareholders and employees of Cooper Firearms of Montana, Inc would like to issue the following statement.

The employees, shareholders and board of directors of Cooper Firearms of Montana do not share the personal political views of Dan Cooper.

Although we all believe everyone has a right to vote and donate as they see fit, it has become apparent that the fallout may affect more than just Mr. Cooper. It may also affect the employees and the shareholders of Cooper Firearms.

The board of directors has asked Mr. Cooper to resign as President of Cooper Firearms of Montana, Inc.

Daily operations will continue with the competent staff currently in place in Stevensville, MT producing the finest, most accurate rifles money can buy.

Dan Cooper has spent all of his working life producing the highest quality rifles built here in the USA. He started with nothing but the American Dream and built that into firearms company anyone would be proud of. We firmly believe Dan stands by the 2nd amendment.
We wish him all of the best in his future pursuits.

Here's a comment from one of his dealers.

THAT WAS QUICK!

Just cleaned it up.

CYA? True enough. But several posters mentioned that he will have an adverse impact on others at the company that may not share his views. Even if they do share his views, they're smart enough to not publicize them!

They're trying to save a bunch of jobs, investment and the company. As they should.
I wonder what Dan Cooper's relationship with the company is. Or was.

I bet they are looking for a new buyer. I'm not sure how profitable the company has been in the past. But maybe someone steps up and buys him out and keeps the employees that everyone agrees makes fine rifles.

Removing him from the board of directors really doesn't solve the root problem that if you buy a Cooper firearm some of that profit goes to Dan Cooper and thus to people like Obama.

That didn't take long.

This should serve as an example to all others in the firearms industry-if you stab us in the back,we won't let you forget it.

That was very quick. I've sent an email to Cooper Firearms voicing my opinion that they have made the correct decision.

Next up, explaining to my wife why I HAVE to increase the Christmas rifle budget so I can buy a Cooper. I do however know that shell understand.

I'd expect that he'll be gone by Monday morning. If he isn't, it's because he's filed suit.

Resign as president, but would he possibly assume another position? What controlling interest/shares does he have in the company and will he relinquish that? just skeptical here.

Whether it be hiking the Rockies from Mexico to Alaska, sucking every available liquor bottle dry, or running Cooper Arms, Dan is the personification of persistence. He's lost the company several times but always gets it back.

Don't count him out even when he's out.

(I wish that he were that persistent about paying whom he owes!)

I got the same message as a reply to my email to Cooper... I wonder if they even read my email telling Dan to eat [bleep].

I'm wondering how much $$$$$ Dandee Dan will be getting as a "retirement bonus" to just go away.

Don't buy a Cooper just yet.
