I have had people email me offers here, and i reply ILL TAKE it!!! and still had the item sold to another, I dont consider this as me being had, just part or trading and haggling, I would Never do this, but I still woudnt put the fellas on my dont do business list again, its just the breaks. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

In addition to a subset of those listed above (9.3 Guy, rdinak, Sitka Deer, BW, among others), I've met or done business with some guys who are seldom seen around here but still appear occasionally. I bought a rifle from Steelhead, and sold one to Rusty Zipper. Both transactions were outstanding, particularly given the distances from Alaska (Florida and Missouri) involved. Chickasaw Hunter is a long-time friend of impeccable character, and Muskegman is a local guy with a well-earned good reputation. I likely will remember some others...my random-access memory is getting more random by the day.

Sold a barrel to ConradCA. Excellent to deal with. Sold a scope to jjenkins. excellent as well. Bought a rifle from Tim N TN. Only complaint was he is gonna bankrupt me. He has some fine rifles he wants to get rid of and I want 'em ALL. Deal on the one I got was picture perfect. And he did one HELL OF A JOB inletting and bedding the laminated stock. Would definitely do business with any of the above again. Hope they fell the same.

I recently had a situation similar to the Gonehuntin/Jamison thing and I'd like to make a point from the seller's side. I put up some 25-06 brass and had a fellow member (pretty sure it was Voldoc02) start haggling with me about the price. I shot him an offer of $40/shipped and he said that he'd have to check his inventory and get back to me. In the meantime, Steelhead sent me a PM saying "I'll take it" so I sold the brass to Steelhead (I forgot that Voldoc02 was going to get back to me). When I went to clean out my PMs, I remembered that Voldoc02 was going to get back to me on my offer so (in order to not burn any bridges) I let him know what I had done and offered to pick up some more brass and sell it to him at the price I had quoted. Refreshingly, he is/was an easy going guy and didn't hold my feet to the fire even though a lot of members here just might have taken me up on the offer. So from this...... #1 - Voldoc02 gets a Good Guy pin for not freaking out like some of the guys tend to do when they get beat to the punch. #2 - If you think something's a good enough deal to hop on, just do it (without going home and measuring the garage...LMAO <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />). After all, it's only money!!!

I second POP being on the list. I did a deal with him, and was pleasantly surprised that the rifle was better than described and shipped quickly with a tracking number provided. Outstanding communication as all e-mails were answered in a timely fashion. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone else.
