I picked-up a 30-06 rifle at the show last weekend. From my internet searching I believe it is a BSA Majestic Featherweight Deluxe. It has an integral brake, 3-leaf rear sight, CRF, and oiled wood stock with schnabel forend. It seems to shoot very well and feeds smooth as butter. I'll do more shooting when the weather gets nicer (in about 4 months!). The receiver is grooved and the rifle came with a 4x Lyman All-American scope in rings marked "Parker Hale." The stock is perfectly shaped for using the open sights (cast off, comb not too high, cheek piece). It is one of those rifles where the sights instantly line-up with your eye when the gun is shouldered.

Any information about this rifle, including approximate value, would be appreciated. It is in really nice shape and I would say the condition is 95%+. Thanks.

Very ,very nice grab there Red.

Hang onto those original Parker Hale rings because they're made for the reciever of that rifle.
I fixed up an identical one for a friend last year that had worn a bubba set of Weaver bases for years.
I couldnt find Parker Hale rings anywhere but I milled the lug off a set of new Warne BRNO's and made it work.

There is supposedly a factory sleeve for that rifle that fits the integral muzzle brake but the guy's I know who have them arent selling.

Of all the BSA's out there that one is in my opinion the sweetest of the lot.

Good shootin! smile

Thanks for the info. The rifle is indeed sweet-shooting. Recoil is akin to a 223. It is louder than a non-braked rifle, but not terribly so. It appears almost new and was obviously fired very little, if at all. When I hold it I imagine stalking plains game through the jesse clad in khaki [sp] and a pith helmet. smile
