Hi, My father has a coop full of chickens and a weasel keeps on getting into the coop and slaughtering the poor chickens. What kind of traps/bait should he use to catch the SOB? Any other tips or tricks? Thanks

Nail down a rat trap and bait it with some really bloody meat. If you are worried about other animals getting caught, put it in a box with some 1 1/2 inch holes in it.

That's good advise. A neat little cubby can be made with a plastic gallon milk jug. In one side cut a 1 1/2" hole for the weasel to crawl through. On another side cut a flap large enough to insert a regular old wood victor rat trap. Set the trap, and slide it through the flap. Set it flap side down and hole side sideways. Insert a couple of bloody chicken livers or best of all some bloody muskrat meat.
Wha la!
Dead Weasel!

And be careful when skinning the weasel. Cut the little scent sac and you'll be running for air!
Also, be real careful pulling out the last little bit of tail. Most folks wind up ripping off the black tip.
Stretch on a paint stir stick tapered for the head.
Worth a couple of bucks. Pretty too.
