He has killed 30 moose and butchered more than a hundred. Not sure why he had such trouble, and I'm sure that it can be done. The point he made to me and I am trying to make to the forum is that nothing should be taken for granted, particularly when handguns are involved. I also know he has taken dozens of deer with .22 LR.

The other point is that pistols are pistols and rifles are rifles.

Hear you on the rifles and pistols thing. I can usually hold an inch at a hundred with most rifles I own, but with my Sig P229 DAO 40, I was usually around 8" at 100 yards. I would not recommend shooting moose at 100 yards with a 40, or with most pistols, other than maybe a Contender.

But I'm flogging the dead pony here, so I'm done. Listen to your uncle. Bye. wink
