When we quit shining our hind ends, I don't know if we really disagree. I've seen both arrogrant and humble pilots as well as both arrogant and humble ground crew. I imagine most of us are somehwere in between............

the only complaint I have for Air Force pilots was them running the engines up on Thursday nights behind Lackland. Damned noise...

BX - it is close - I can think of others but she isn't off the list.
ETA: Get the feeling she used to be a slightly bigger girl - tan lines for a suit that would be more befitting someone larger than she is there - obviously a new suit for new shape.

don't care much for Blaine's ego nor any pilot's ego but the sig is wrong. LOL!!! I am still trying to figure out how my constant comments about how I have not done anything heroic, and how what seems like heroic aviation feats are just part of good job training, is evidence of excessive ego.............. Oh well, never a dull moment...................

Indeed. I've never served, and still found it in very poor taste. Regardless of what point was trying to be made..... Yep. Thought exactly the same thing Bill.

When are you really going to push that thing? 500 hp isn't as large of a number as it once was if you peruse the diesel rags...

I don't know much about Medals of Honor, but I do know that some jackass(Tampax147) attempting to make a mockery out of them is bullchit.
Thank you Blaine and all veterans for your service.

Suffice it to say, I've got my own ideas (as does everyone) of what/who a Hero is. My grandfather(s) comes to mind.....

I'm bringing this over from amx1047, you are started by Violator22: In case anybody wants to get really ugly about all this, and try something in the real world, let it be known that all of this was in response to some arrogant and disrespectful remarks that have been made or were directed towards me on this board. All of this is nonsense on my part, and in real life, I deeply respect and admire the military. Like I just told somebody in a pm, I'm not worthy of their valor, yet they defend me, or have defended me anyway. And I'm grateful.
But here on the internet, who really knows anybody? Unless you've met them in person. All of the male members of my immediate family have served at one time or another. I know that for a fact. Who can tell about any of you? Good grief people! This is the internet. It's not worth the celluloid it come across to you on. I feel sorry for you if you actually take any of this seriously.

You can't push a non o-ringed, stock-rodded Dmax past 500 RWHP very far without breaking it. Many have tried. I am very happy with the HP output as is, but when it comes time to rebuild the engine, I'll beef it, maybe go with twins, add fuel, and she what she'll really do......... There are reports of 1000 HP on #2 out of a Dmax.

I'm about two miles from the runway in the landing pattern of Hunter Army Air Field. I can tell when stuff is going to happen in SWA by the air traffic. Talk about noise when the big BIG jets fly over to land and the engines go loud as hell. Man it sounds good, just to know they are our guys
