post mil...finally found a home for my 22-250 barrel

Ya got $320 to spare??????????? Easy enough answer!!!! Condition dictates price. Wallet governs price!!!!

I know it's not a sought after model but it's a perfect candidate for my 22-250 barrel to make a working gun.Don't have to worry bout scuffin the wood an I still get a rotary and lever safety.
I think it was a good buy,just want to know what the more learned folks on the forum think.

Price seems right, pending condition,Most E's run around 350 to 600.00 from what is out there.
However your the one that has seen it,and it's your choice if ya wanna grab it.

I guess the post mil V thread rule falls into the "never say always" catagory then?

unless anyone can confirm,I guess I'll find out when I twist the barrel off...

Les, I don't think I ever heard that. I thought all the postmils (except a few of the very early leftover barrels) had the V thread.

The last 99E 308 barrel I pulled was a v thread.

Nice looking gun,except for the wood. A good candidate for a project gun,if you are into that kinda stuff.
Looks like either the butt or forearm was swapped out.

serial on this one is 1128xxx...I'm thinkin that makes it an early post mil as no letter in the serial,is that right?

Joe, you sure on the v-thread, I was under the assumption that anything before 70 had the square thread, and the 70's started the V-thread. But I could be wrong. Les

The wood might be right,,but it was either swapped, or re stained,
if you look at the photos,the butt is darker.Just my observation from the photo.

Thanks gents,I figured the wood was right...don't think they were too picky on matchin up the E...my EG isn't exact match either.

Stefan, a lot of the production wood on the E's have mismatched wood, they were the budget grade rifle. I am pretty sure that wood is correct for it. Les
