That should work. I just use a roll of white Vet wrap tape (available at the local Farm/feed store). A lot like the elastic, non-adhesive medical wrap used by hospitals. One roll will cover up a bolt gun for about $3 - it's not permanent and comes in many colors...

Yeah, that's kinda cool looking.. but you really don't need to go that all out... Kaiser Norton has a good idea...

or an old T shirt and some rubber bands, can camo it up enough also...

but if that is the way you like it to look, your opinion matters most.. I camo'ed up a Ruger 77 that was older, and I liked it..

sacrificed an old Walmart $70.00 Chinese made scope, to camo on top of it...and took off the Nikon it was wearing..

Nice paint job. Not sure if its just me but I always cringe when I see a scope painted to match a rifle, its kinda more permanent than I like. Marriage is scary too! ha ha

Derek,

I've done it on cheap Walmart purchased scopes...and spray painted a few gloss black ones to matte black... it decreased the value significantly...

however when it wasn't worth much pre camo'ed the loss is not really anything to worry about...

That's exactly what I was thinking when I went ahead and painted the scope....wasn't worth much before the paint anyway. The scope is a pine ridge 6x24x40. The windage turret is bent a bit too. It shoots good, but has crappy eye relief. Same with the handi-rifle that I picked up used. They're pretty cheap to replace.

This is what I use too.

Nice job on the paint!

I shot it the other day......and man, what a fun gun to shoot! Fast little gun! That pine ridge scope that I have is calibrated for 40 grain .204 ruger. I've been waiting for the snow to get somewhat of a crust on it so I can get out and do some calling. I don't think I'll have much luck until the coyotes can walk on top instead of through it.

Yeah & I don't think our little warm spell her was quite enough to do it. Maybe though, it was pretty warm yesterday and it's back to -20 by saturday.

I'm going to strap on the snowshoes and see if I can call one in this w/e. Figure with the cold temps they have got to be hungry. Also, should be about time for breeding season and we all know that has never gotten a guy in trouble before;)
