northern_dave,

If the oil finish is all that's holding you back, heck, would it be that much trouble to do it yourself? Could make a fun project with no real sense of urgency. You could take your time with it. Yeah, it'd be nice if they offered it already with an oil finish, but you know the manufacturer's reality ... can't offer every conceivable configuration. After all, leg-hound dry humping says you want one PRETTY BAD there ... grin grin grin

And, no, I don't work for Savage wink .

"Dead...Nuts????"

"Yes, they're scope mounts."

Dednutz is now Grim Reaper.

"Just a second...(Yells across the store...) Hey, Marv! Do we sell Dead Nuts??? What??? They're some kind of scope mounts! No, I'm not kidding! ... Sorry, Sport, never heard of 'em. Dead Nuts you say? You sure about that???"

"Seriously. Hey, no problem. Thanks anyway."

I went with Burris Signatures.

Derivatives NOT derivations. No such word.

By the way, in case you missed it, Jeremiah was a bullfrog.

As a matter of fact there is.

I stand corrected.

By the way, in case you missed it, Jeremiah was a bullfrog.
