Last Marlin .375 I saw for sale went for $300 and it looked like it had been through Desert Storm. The boys like them around here.

Powderburn says his Marlin is priced $50 to $100 less than what it would be worth on the auction sites. Maybe you should snap it up at $425. If you get tired of it, you could sell it
to a close friend for $500. Just trying to help. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

And when I study Auction Arms and Gunbroker and find my prices are $50-$100 lower than the SELLING auction price for the same make and caliber which I have and post and doesn't even get a nod <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> on a free site <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> ...... just not in the right place at the right time I guess... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />
Yep, that's probably it. Don't give up, though. You'll hook one eventually. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I finally got a Marlin 375 about a year ago. I have around $350 in it, and feel it is worth the price. I put a Weaver 1X3 on it and it shoots groups that would make a bolt gun proud with my handloads. These are fine hunting rifles. Marlin should consider bringing the 375 back.

Well... I sold the Marlin 375 that I bought in May 2004 when I started this thread.....have been kicking myself ever since..Well the gun gods were smiling on me last week, I found another one and promptly nabbed it. It's in better shape than the one I sold..This one I will keep. I've ordered up some cast gas checked 265 grainers for it. Will keep you posted as to how it shoots. I'm shooting it tomorrow with some factory loads. Not often you get a second chance at one of these rifles :-)

Rembo,

Welcome back to the 375 Winchester club! I hope your new one shoots great. I haven't tried cast bullets in mine yet, but want to. The Hornady 220 FPs work quite well though.

One of the best gun buys I ever made was a NIB M375. A collector had passed away and his son brought all his guns, mostly levers, into the gunshop. I happened to have some overtime burning a hole in my pocket, and picked up the M375 for $350.00 and a steel frame BLR'81 in .358 for $500.00. Maybe not barn burning prices, but fair. Don't think I'll ever have a chance to pick from two NIB BLR'81's in .358 again. That collection included 17 NIB BLR's, a Win. 94 .307, several rare Marlins (I did go back and get a 336T later, which my brother now has), two Win. Wranglers engraved with cowboy scenes in .32 special, etc. All NIB. Still kicking myself for not buying a beautiful 444S.

Love the M375. So far have killed six deer with 5 shots with it. At the shot they all stumble foreward a few steps and pitch on their nose. The one extra shot was a finisher after I spined a 7 pt running through a marsh. Great memories.

Way to go. You're shooting under par!

No wonder the prices on those things have gone through the roof. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Whoops, I meant 5 deer with 6 shots! I'm good but don't know if I'm that good. Have no doubt the M375 would take two at once though!

Had A Marlin .375 (non-carbine) that was just devistating on whitetails. Shot one from end to end at 20 paces. They are a great deer, bear, and Elk rifle. Would not be afraid of trying it on bigger stuff also. Very underated round that should be resurected by Marlin and Winchester.

Personally am not a fan of the Marlin lever(just does not seem to balance right for me). I do have a Mod 94 XTR BB the gun that God meant for that caliber to be in and by golly I am quite happy with it. Shot chest to rump on a black bear at 35 yards in August using 220 GR Hornayd FP's.
Glad I am not the only one to be re-discovering this great caliber.

You may want to try looking at Conely precision's website www.cpcartridge.com they list 200gr 220gr and a 255gr loads although a little expensive. Thats a total of five factory loads a person can get for the .375 win not bad. The 200gr winchester load, Wisconsin cartridge 220gr load, and the three from conely.
