H4895 is excellent in this application. I'm talking about 1/2 to 2/3 MOA to 300 yards from my tuned up model 700. That's with thrown charges too.

If you can't get excellent accuracy with either of the 4895s, or 4064, or Varget, or RL-15 - then there's something wrong with the gun or the jerk on the trigger, LOL!

WW 760 always worked the best for me in my RSI, but H414 is giving it a run for its money in my flat-bolt grin.

No surprise there since they are the same powder. wink My .250 XP-100 liked W760 as well with 100s. Be sure of your twist rate, the old 1:14" twist didn't like 100s. Even my 1:12" Remington only shoots the flat-based 100s well.

Don't overlook 4320 or Ramshot Big Game. Lots of good powders for the 250

My load of 34.5 grains of REL-15 with the 100 gr. Hornady will bring a tear to your eye.

The 250 is one of my favorite cartridges. My 700 Rem. really likes 40 gr. H414 with 100gr. bullets and chronographed 3050 fps.
