Being no expert here, but seeing as how I have both a 9 and 40 and really have no dog in this fight over why 40 or 9 is the better law enforcement weapon let me make this observation.

My nephew who is a Federal Homeland Security Officer in Washington with ten to fifteen years Law Enforcement experience with D. C. Metro as a street cop in one of D. C.'s highest crime areas has carried both the 9 and the 40 with both agencies has gone back to the 9 in a Glock as the approved carry weapon by the agency. He gave his dad his Glock in 40 S&W when he went back to the 9.
