Given a choice I would never use a compromise bullet on deer, instead I'd give it up on the coyote side of the equation. For me that means using the great 100gr Hornady SP or Nos.Partition in a similar weight.

I had a pretty good string of luck using the 95 gr Partition, & used it for everything when I was in the 24 cal game.

Hands down my favorite 243 bullet is the Berger95gr VLD but it does require a 1-9"twist. If yours is not this fast of a twist then the 95NBT or the 70SBK would be my second choice.

have shot a lot of coyotes with the 85 gr. sierra flatbase bullets they work great and are not to hard on hides if major bones are not hit
