This is the River known as REALITY,which is a tough one for you to navigate(the toughest in fact). While it has many Tributaries,this one is the 7-08/162 drainage.

I think what JO really wants to know here is which one works better for azz shots, 7mm-08 or the .308?

My hopes are that Jeff DilldO ain't too horned up in them particulars,or "picks" on me for doing so with a 6x42 and a turret ala CBS,with a taped muzzle and an audience.

Just think, TryMe... if you'd been using a .308 with the load I kicked your azz with, those bullets would have hit .3" from where they did* (at 600 frikkin' yards in a 10 mph crosswind)!

Feel free to "cite" your imagined load's particulars,while I state plainly a 308 Lapua hull resized/fireformed to my Ti(ala Redding bushing die and .003" expanderless constriction),42.5grs of Re-15,a 2.815" COAL(.015 off the lands),Moly,CCI 200's,22" tube and a magfed 4rd count in it's belly.

I can see myself uploading video at your expense as well,though admittedly...few things are easier.

Is it time, now, to say that your accomplishments with the 7-08 are impressive? That I can see you are a hell of a hunter and a good, if not great, rifleman?
