Got to thinking bout beer - so what ya drinking and what do you give company so as not to use up your stuff. Anyone brewing their own?

I drink Leinies when home and here in TX I do not drink.
Usually have SKY Blue and Bud Light in the fridge.

Hard stuff: Kamakazi mix, Jack (jack and cokes) and Appleton Estate Jamacian Rum (make your own vanilla shakes and add a little - perfect in the hot tub when its 100 degrees outside.)

Maredsous for the religious and Turbo Dog for the heathens.

The best of both worlds.

Ask Logstove, I serve Guiness, Michlob Amber Bock and Heineken to company as well as being in stock for personal use. Actually I keep the Heineken for my son-in-law.

I'm not much on beer anymore, a Corona or Dos Equis will do fine.

I have fallen big time for single malt scotch from Islay. Can't go back now.... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Nothing like a good scotch from Bowmore or Caol Ila distillers. Ardbeg when I am in the mood is good too.

Harp's and Guiness for the company (folks always like a black and tan) homebrew or miller lite for myself. As far as mixed drinks go...jack and coke, bourbon and ginger ale, or a good martini.

Teal, where are you in TX. ? The little brewery in Shiner puts out some very respectful brew. Stay away from Shiner Blonde and go with Shiner Bock, on ice. Also,I hate to admit this ,because I'm a Miller Lite man, but,if you see a Budweiser display that's pushing "Day Fresh Budweiser",at least but a sixer. The born on date is today and it is worth it.(I think that they only do this a couple of hours from Houston). This is my favorite subject(although my wife don't like it much),maybe it needs a separate forum....

I'm pretty boring. If I'm drinking beer its Coors light, and the harder stuff is Capt. Morgan and Pepsi.

Reminder to self...

Be nicer to TLee, he serves good beer. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Actually, I've stopped drinking beer (mostly) and prefer a Crown & Coke as it's less filling and zero carbs if you use diet Coke.

Having sampled the brewer's art from Munich to Kathmandu and St. Louis to London my favorite remains "Moose Drool"... an unbelieveable beer!

ya Moose drool is good beer, but hard to find fresh in my parts. the problem here is there are so many micro brews on the shelf that they don't sell fast enough and some are miss handled, warm cold warm cold. some beers should never be let to get warm just like milk.

New castle brown ale is good for change once in a while.

keep natural light and pabst blue ribbon for the company, but keep about every other kind in the fridge from budweiser to coors light and heiniken to rolling rock. as well as all the hard stuff mentioned above. usually the company gets the good stuff and i end up drinking the natty and pabst......blake

I don't drink alot of beer anymore. Got to the place that if I drank one I might as well drink 15 - I felt like crap the next day regardless.

But here in NC we do have some backwoods distilleries that turn out some pretty mean shine and apple brandy.

As far as company is concerned, I don't think I hate anyone enough to offer them a Pabst Blue Ribbon...

Mostly Coors light, but after the first 3 or 4, it doesn't really matter! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I'm a binge drinker. I'll go for months without even looking at it, then one night get with some friends.... you know the story.

Back when I was in the army, I'd get Miller Light in bottles. A friend always kept telling me that for the price of 1/2 case of Miller light, you could get a 30 rack of Strohs. My answere was always "When I can't afford to drink beer I like, I can't afford to drink at all".

Sam Adams, Saranac (Black Forest, Pale Ale, Pilsner), Guiness, Tequeza (for my wife) NO LIGHT BEER !!! If you want light beer here, bring your own. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Rebel Yell & Makers Mark, Dewars scotch, Cuervo Gold, Baily's Irish Cream, brandy or B&B, Stoli or Absolut, dark rum.

Crowrifle, the local produce I've sampled from NC is outstanding. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I live in San Antonio - you can not live in TX with out seeing/hearing bout Shiner. The reason I do not drink down here is cuz of Navy policy - DUI (or any alcohol related incident) goes really bad. Now they are going to go with a "zero tolerance" policy - DUI you are out same as drugs. No problem with theat - I would just REALLY prefer to get an Honorable discharge with my VA benies - back to beer.

New Castle is good stuff too. Tries Hocher Schorr (spelling is wrong but pronounce phoneticaly) was ok , guiness is ok but I am really more of a hard stuff my self - I have to be in an unbelievably good mood to just drink beer. Leinies is ok but like I said - I can notjust drink a few for the sake of drinking- need a reason to celebrate.

I was thinking of maybe (when I get a house) of doin the home brew to see if I can find a mix I really like on a social/daily level.
