Any of you guy's ever purchase a gun or rifle through or using Davidson's Gallery of Guns and their Gun Locator/Gun Genie? I run a search through them last week looking for a Remington model 597 in pink camo (#80854) for my Nieces Birthday, and came up empty everwhere.

This morning I got an E-mail from Davidson's that a new supply of guns came in and included 9 of the #80854 rifles I was looking for.

Any Campfire recomendations for this outfit?

I bought one through them. It worked smoothly. I clicked some and payed. I got to the shop they sent it to a week later and it was waiting for me.. price was as agreed. Can't complain.

Davidsons is a very reputable company I've ordered literally hundreds of weapons from them without a problem. They offer a Davidsons Lifetime Warranty.

Do the deal with confidence.

Good luck

Davidson's is reputable and I've used one of their local FFL's for delivery. Good experience

Davidsons is a great. You got a great gun too. Ruger 10/22s get all the attention when it comes to the semiauto 22 market. But the remington is just as good. I am very happy with 17 hmr version of the 597. I was even able to pick up a 22 mag barrel. Barrels switch out very much like the 10/22. Don't no for certain but if you so desire you might be able to find a 17 mach II conversion kit for even more fun.

Well after some serious thinking, I decided I couldn't justify giving a rifle to the older girl for her birthday when I started the younger girl shooting 5 years ago at age 13 and never gave her a rifle. How would I explain that?

Also the problem of switching ownership would creat a problem. Since there mother doesn't want guns in the house.

So what transpired is I now have 2 pink camo rifles soon ariving and will take them shooting together, and I will just throw them a birthday party at the range together. Problem Solved!

The rifle's will remain in my stable for their use along with all the other females in my family.

So while I'm waiting on these, I picked up 2,100 rounds of ammo and a few extra magazines from Natchez and everything should be set and ready to go for the happy day. grin

Sure blew the budget for this month though!

Test fire the rifles before going to the range. No fun to get there and find something doesn't work.
