Since this has become quite a bucket of a thread, I will get this of my chest.

I grow leary of new members with empty profils. A new "identity" is to quickly doned like cloak on the internet - just some clicks away. I rather suspect, some old hands hold handles like cards in a poker game.

Do not wish to insult or discourage new members (am quite new myself) just find it harder and harder to ignore my gut feelings.

May be on the verge of paranoia, too. Have to restrain from asking any new member, if his 7mm-08 is still going. laugh

CMG, filled out profile just for you LOL

I figured most would know me by my screen name
Tactical Intervention is my company. I make rifle slings used on sniper rifles by several Nato Countries and the Good Old USA.

You can dump the paranoia. I have more than a few rounds down range.

TI,

thank you very much. Please do not mind too much. My "paranoia" was not directed at you personally. How could it. Welcome aboard, Sir.

Just an aside: your link to your website in incomplete.

CMG, no sweat on my end. Thanks for words on link. I think I fixed it. I know everytime you walk into a mess you have no real idea what caused it.
Not here for any drama. Just heard the place had a bunch of good shooters to share with and learn from.

TI,

just checked. Link works now. Good to have you around. Glad we got of on the right foot despite my blunder. Stick around - it is a good place.

Rural, thanks for the back up. blush

River bass or lake?

We have a river near here (Umpqua) that is just loaded with the suckers... one of our favorite family things is to spend a July day fishing and snorkling. I've seen some damn big bass snorkling- bigger than any I've caught. There's also major salmon and steelhead runs and sometimes you'll see those too.

However, while you can catch them on spinners, it isn't the most productive way. They aren't that aggressive.

The CENTER will hold.

Saw a show with Jimmy on a ways back...Catch and release deer hunting. It was late season or something, and he was hunting them with an unloaded gun. They actually put this on the air!

Camp is where you make it.
