I need a sling for my Kimber Montana...nylon preferably (light weight), comfortable to carry, stays in place, and a true SLING, not carry strap (a sling has a loop used to steady the rifle).
I use a 1" nylon strap. A loop is wonderful thing for target shooting, but getting into one takes too long for hunting and a properly executed hasty sling hold is very steady.
I use a couple of long beads of silicone seal on the inside surface in the appropriate area to keep it from slipping off the shoulder while carrying.
