I ask this because I just spent last evening and the better part of this morning talking my buddy off the ledge after he strayed.
he didn't get caught and the only way the Mrs. is going to find out is if he tells her.
his Mrs. put him on a twice yearly ration of rollin in the hay about 5 years ago and told him to get it elsewhere if he really needed it that bad.
well working out of state and nothing to do but drink at night got this fella and his judgement separated and he wound up with a young woman in his bed.

I told him to keep his yapper shut about it,not to do it again and to go get himself tested for STD's.
I believe silence is golden in this case,he loves his wife and kids and doesn't want to hurt them,I believe it is the combination of Jamesons and a chilly wife that made this happen and I will give him a pass on this one(yet break his chops relentlessly in camp or a boat)anybody ever been down this road?

Yep. Had a few pards do the same thing. Although not in the situation you describe. I gave them a week to 86 themselves and be honest with their other or I was going to. Marriage is a pretty serious thing to me. I'm a firm believe that nothing should come between the honesty most marriages are founded on. Just my advice. Your mileage may vary.

Good god........2 times a year?? I'm with most of these other guys. She gave him permission which tells me that she don't love him quite as much as she use too. If my wife told me I could get it elsewhere and I knew she was serious, i'd be on divorce # 2.

If she is only allowing him 2x a year, then there were other major problems with their marriage before he had an affair. Doesn't make what he did right though.

I believe in the sanctity of marriage but no one is perfect. If he is happy in his marriage otherwise, I would not tell her. If he isn't happy he can tell her and watch her find an attorney.

I'd do exactly what he did...only I'd of prolly done it sooner & more often...tell the wifey that if she thinks that thing is so special, she can keep it ALL to herself...could be that the little woman has a side gig going of her own.
