It's my thang to an extent, sentence structure and paragraphing should not be dismissed. Pique and peak aren't spelling errors, they're word errors. And worse, they're errors that indicate a level of basic language skill.
I'm a lousy speller myself, which is why when I edited a magazine I hired a proof-reader.

"Duke" Venturino!!?? I thought there was only ONE Duke also. Well, hope he's enjoying the moniker; but we all know there is only one DUKE. Think I'll go put "The Searchers" on. Tom

Apparently few of us on the Campfire have heard of Duke Ellington or Duke Snider or the Duke Of Earl....

John, there is a filling station/bait shop in Dryden, Ontario that sits at the corner of Duke and Earl. (Hats off to Gene Chandler. Actually, that should be Hats Off to Larry, but that takes us to Del Shannon.)

Cool!
I forgot about about Duke Kahanamoku, the only person to be inducted into both the Swimming Hall of Fame and the Surfing Hall of Fame.

Mule Deer: I stand corrected on the 'only' Duke statement. My mistake to the max! But Duke Venturino just seemed a bit much. Sorry, didn't mean to make a mess of things. Tom

Apparently few of us on the Campfire have heard of Duke Ellington or Duke Snider or the Duke Of Earl.... Could've been the Earl of Duke. How come nobody's named Earl anymore? Back in the college days, a group of us, mostly out of boredom, went to visit the neighborhood movie house, locally known as The Armpit. Part of the show that evening included a filmed presentation of Gene Chandler singing his hit. Notable was his attire: tails, top hat, cane and cape. That event was prescient in two regards. First, the presentation, novel in my movie-going experience, could have been the forerunner of MTV broadcasts. Second, what one in our company, a Mississippi lad, yelled out might have inspired the term politically incorrect.
