I just replied to your question on another part of of this forum. Take a look at David Boye's folders made from Dendritic steel. Edge holding is superior to anything, including CPM 440V. I've made a number of fixed blade knives from this steel over the years and can attest to its edge holding. He's in Dolan Springs, AZ. He started in Lancaster, CA and wrote a book on knifemaking many years ago. DMB

My favorite folder for hunting is apparently not made anymore. Cold Steel made a "Twistmaster" with a slightly eliptical blade, it locks like an opinel which I use and love is much bigger and has a synthetic handle that is checkered and allows really good purchase, decent piece of metal in it and is stout. 1ak
