For tomorrow morning's wet phone book penetration tests, we've got the following bullets launched at the following velocities:
.264 100 gr Ballistic Tip 3700 fps
.264 120 gr TTSX 3425
.264 130 gr Accubond 3310
.264 140 gr Speer 3200
.264 140 gr SST 3200
.264 140 gr Partition 3200
.323 150 gr Speer 3340
.323 220 gr Sierra 2850
.323 220 gr A-Frame velocity unknown, but should be over 2800
.358 250 gr Speer 2850
.358 250 gr Partition 2850

The A-Frames won't be fired until Monday because they didn't arrive today like they should have. But rank each bullet in terms of penetration. There's only one monometal but I think that will be the most difficult to slot. Here's my guess:
.35 250 Partition
.32 220 AFrame (Monday)
.26 120 TTSX
.35 250 Speer
.32 220 Sierra
.26 140 Partition
.26 130 Accubond
.26 140 Speer
.26 140 SST
.32 150 Speer
.26 100 Ballistic Tip

I'm not measuring wound volumes or anything like that, but I'll also report expanded diameter and retained weight.
Since nobody took me up on the invite to join the test, this is all we have to play with tomorrow. But if it does change, I'll be sure to post late additions.

How would you rank the relative penetrating abilities of these bullets?

Looking forward to the results. I'm thinking it may be a horse race among a few of these, and we might see some surprises.

Interested in impact velocities, also.
