That looks great. I built a 40x a couple of years ago also. I shoot it way more than anything else I have.

What is the finished weight? That may be the most perfect 22 sporter I've ever seen.

I would say that rimfire is as close to the perfect gun for the tree rats. Now there are no excuses for anything except a head shot. I hunt the rodents with an anshultz and laupa sub sonics hp. Try this sometime. shoot the nut out of there mouth first and when they collect there senses shoot em in the noggin He He.

Nicely done!!! I just put one of the EFR Leupold's on my Rem 541S and I've thought about putting the "sporter mod" on one of my rimfire 40-X's. Hmmmmmm, you've got the brain turning over!

Now THAT is a rifle....

I had a 40X Custom Shop Sporter/repeater for about 15 years that just became too valuable to shoot. Bought it in the early 90s for $1350 and it sold for $3600 in about 2007.

Interesting.

The post is 3 1/2 years old and the OP hasn't been online for the last year and a half.

I wouldn't expect an immediate response......
