110 gr. TSX yet?
kinda like the idea of turning my old Mountain Rifle into a low end .257 Roy.
Problem is it's a mail-order only proposition for me.

Haven't tried the 110 gr, but I did try the 130, didn't shoot well in my .270 (1909 Argentine Mauser). The 130 Black Hills load with the Barnes, however, shoots as well in it as do 130 gr Fusions.

I reload using the 130 gr Barnes TSX. Have'n tried the 110 gr. yet, but going to work up a load for them for our Coues whitetail season. any pointers by you folks with experience with this round?
Think direction first, then velocity.

My Son-in-Law's 270 (a Savage)loves the Federal Premium ammo w/110 gr TTSX bullet. Of course it seems to like almost everything shot out of it. With the Federal Premium ammo w/110 gr TTSX, it shoots into less than 1" for a 3-shot group at 100 yards. I also ran 1 round over the chronograph (this ammo costs too much to shoot more) and the velocity at 15' from the muzzle was 3,330 fps, which is only 70 fps less than what Federal claims. All of this from a 20" barrel on the Savage. Maybe the summer heat had something to do with it. I don't know.

Our hunting spot that offered shots to 250ish is not available this year, so will be shooting in thick woods.
May, however, order a couple boxes of this round for the .270s my sons will be shooting this fall. Treestand Whitetail will die swearing it was a 150 NP that took them down...
Then do some longer range shooting practice with an eye towards bopping a pronghorn and/or muley next fall.

Has anyone tried the 110gr TTSX for the .270? Do you think they( the 110gr TTSX or TSX ) would make a good Hog bullet?

I've handloaded my .270 Win with Barnes 110 TSX's, they work great. Here's a post I did on Leverguns: My post on Leverguns with pics.
