The only medication I have ever found which will relieve arthritis pain is marijuana. Taken only with a doctor's suggestion, of course.

The one natural thing that no one mentions on this entire thread is plain old water. I bet not one person who has a complaint or ailament here drinks enough water, not coffee or soda pop, beer or what have you just plain water. Most of us are dehydrated most of the time we have learned to ignore the symptoms and substitute chemical from bottles for the lack of water in our bodies. Joints require water to maintain lubrication, even helps injured tissue recover. Water is essential in memory and brain function. Eight ounces of water before bed will help you sleep and help keep you out of the fridge in the middle of the night. use all the meds you got but add plenty of plain water and see results.
Bullwnkl.

A couple ounces of Kentucky bourbon in that water will help a lot, too.

Celebrex or Vioxx:
these are prescription nsaids of a new type, and they offer significantly improved results for many people. Great for inflamed joint type problems. I have heard some say that Vioxx is a little easier on the stomach, take with food, one pill a day. They are prescription, consult your doctor.

I had a recent back injury and my doctor prescribed some Celebrex but that was too hard on my stomach then he tried Vioxx. The Vioxx has to be a wonder drug. I just turned 34 and, like Spike, I feel like I'm fallin apart. The Vioxx helps with the pain in all the joints in my body. Ask your doctor for some. The only down side is that it's fairly expensive if you don't have insurance.

Joel S,
Sounds like you've got torn cartledge along with osteoarthritis. I've had three arthroscopic surgeries on my knees over the last 5 years for similar problems and the Doc has told me "your knees are shot, don't even mow your lawn". He didn't say I couldn't go hunting!
Seriously, you ought to have your knees looked at by a good orthopedic surgeon.
------------------
Phil Life Member SCI&NRA
