Granted, they're no mcmillan, but then again they're about 1/3 the price. Kinda what I'm looking for. I didn't buy the gun yet, but if I do, with glass I have at home, and a stock paint job, I'll be into a new rifle for less then $300. Not bad....especially if it works.

If need be you could always do like backwoodsbrian did and epoxy a couple of arrow blanks in the forend to stiffen up the tupperware.
Something clever here.

Hmmm... I have a few laying around. I may need pics. Does he have any? Trying to decide if I want to do this, or if I need a .338 WM.

I bought a Stevens 200 in .308, and looked at all the various stock choices. I ended up going with the Stockade stock, and could not be happier. It is among the best synthetic stocks I own. Took about 10 weeks from placing the order, but worth it.
