M-S 1952 Improved Carbine - 7x57 - Leupold Pioneer 4x in Adjusto-mount THAT is a beaut! Nice rifle.
Anybody who seriously concerns themselves with the adequacy of a Big 7mm for anything we hunt here short of brown bear, is a dufus. They are mostly making shidt up. Crunch! Nite-nite!

Here's a pre-64 358 Norma in a MPI stock. I've used most 35cal bullet over the yrs and have settled on 280 Swifts for everything.
I tend to use more than enough gun

rifle It's 20" now after 20yrs at 24",I honestly can't detect any difference in ease of hitting or killing ability dropping 100fps. The little nosepiece mpi provides is a little wimpy so my gunsmith built a heavy duty 1 out of alum. It's slim and soaks up recoil nicely.

As an aside, the SMC in 6.5 x 55 does not just reside in a safe. It drew blood on its first outing. Nailed this sow and the shoats just kept coming. I'd have shot more but I only brought 5 rounds. LOL you would think I would know better! ya! GWB

I'm about to get to the point where full stocked rifles are my mainstays, along with a few levers and a 223AI of course.
I now need to get a 22LR full stocked rifle.
