Doc....Just received a reply from a gent who was away from camp on a deer hunt. He said he saw no problem at all with gear being shipped but he'd provide further details and requests when he returned from his hunt.

Cool beans. I gotta Pelican case that's all beat up that I stencilled "Acme Septic Service" on to ship guns in. Nobody messes with it.

Geez Doc you and I will probably melt down there in May! I'll have to run the A/C in the truck most of the way down!

You two will be okay. It's not that hot and after all it is a dry heat.

Pat....How far away is your home from the ranch?

And, at what number of hunters are you going to begin a stand-by list?

I'm guessing Pat is about 400 miles from the place.

That's correct, I'm about 400 miles from there. Bob, I haven't really given much thought to a "standby" list. What would you suggest? Mark said the place can handle 50 so I guess it would be at that point.

OK Pat. My experience is about a 6-10% attrition due to last minute family or work obligations that rear their unfortunate heads. If you are permitted up to 50 guests though, I don't see that you have a real concern.

I mainly asked because I was gonna put out my feelers for my local pards and didn't want to intrude on your party or the Campfire hopefuls until an appropiate juncture to butt-in occurred.

I understand Bob. I have 3-4 waiting in tha shadows as well.

I spoke to the outfitter today and he requested that we limit the number of hunters in our party to 35 because of boarding. We will begin stand-by list at that point as Isaac suggested.
