Please tell me it is not 13076, She would never forgive me for trading her into that life!

Is that the one advertised as 8 pound sledge with finished highlights of ball peen?

The genuine "antique" finish had been applied prior to me getting ahold of it. It is #38770. Funny part is, the interior and bore are in excellent shape and it shoots straight.

I also never have to worry about it falling off of something and getting scratched!

Thanks for the "welcome backs" from everyone too. It is great to be back. I will be sticking around for a while.

...And yes, snakeshot in the face stings, but it could be worse. He could have been using JHP!

Mackay, that's the second-worst flattop I've ever seen. I bought one for $50 once that had been drug down a mountain road for a few miles -- the holster belt got caught on the bumper. No grip or grip frame, no hammer or rear sight, recoil shield and cylinder peened to look a lot like yours. It has a four-digit serial number. I regret that I never took a phot of the "before."

I sent it to Dave Clements as a challenge, and he took it. Today it's my most prized custom gun, my 41 Special. I have no idea how he made it look so good, truly. Here's the 'after."

I'd be more worried about Mackay's Ruger falling off and scratching the fence...
