I am thinking 30/30 for a hog, 243 or 308 for the night time hunting.

I'd go 308 for hog and 308 for night with a .454 at the ready. Just me..

I am figuring on bringing either my 94 .30 W.C.F. passed down from from my grandfather to me, or a 1903a3 customed into .300 Win. Mag.
I figure I will bring my shotgun and plenty of 00 buck for a bit of varmint hunting.
I will have my 1911 since I am driving over, and possibly tote along my Raging Hornet too.

how many you all for staying in san antonio the thursday nite before?

if a bunch of us are maybe we could all stay at or near the same hotel for an early meet and greet.

I am leaving Az on thursday afternoon or so(driving). I would like to try and connect with folks in S.A. to head out to the place.

That should be no problem, but you drive about 100 miles past the hunting area to get to SA!

I love my 308, 30/30 was the Christmas present deal. Not sure on the type of hunting out at this place. Should we bring a little corn for them old hogs, the stinky stuff to go along with the corn?

Don't have a .454, but do have a knife. That will work.
