Newsflash-----Guttin' or skinnin' a feral pig is likely one of the nastiest things you might ever encounter.

Ever gutted a moose?

Only helped with one feral pig but have done several javalina.

He did show the all important going away noggin shot.

I'd choose to gut a feral pig over turkey and caribou anyday!!

They ain't called FOWL for no reason.

I think Caribou have about 437 miles of intestine.

Yeah, and they start to bloat before the first bounce....

all time winner was a spanish goat on an 80 degree November day in South Texas.....we were recycling Stoli all over the place.

Boy do they. That lichen makes for some serious gas bloating within minutes after they perish. The guides in our camp didn't even gut.Used a knife to clear the cuts and quartered and took out the the strap and fish using an axe and a bit more knife for the little details.

On the other hand the Axis is an absolute joy. The deer were full of ticks but I didn't find a single tick on the Axis, thicker more rubbery hide methinks from being eating by tigers since Moses had a paper route.

Thinking Blackbuck won't be bad either.

Yes Sir...nasty smelling things. I just breast them out and take the legs for soup stock anymore.

I just got an email from the ranch Mark Knight. They will skin and quarter the hog for $30. They don't process them but there is a processor 20 minutes away. It would be questionable of they could get it done in time for departure. That bring said I will be bringing 2 large coolers with the intent of bringing quarters home to process.

As a note, I received a call from the outfitter, Mark Knight, last night and he said that it would be possible for the hunt to be extended for an additional day if we wanted for $150 more, which would include another hog, meals, lodging etc. This would mean arriving Thursday instead of Friday. I assume this would apply to a "partial" party of hunters as well if enough people are interested. You guys toss that around.

I'm in!! Just have to leave earlier....YAHOOOO!!
