Mn./ Mt	A 1957 .270 fwt I've had for a while...then an old blank found on ebay that had been partially inletted, shaped and pillar bedded for just such a rifle, so I bought it on the cheap. I messed with it a little over the summer but realized that it belonged in the hands of a stock maker not just a woodworker, enter Jim Kobe. He added a steel grip cap, proper pad, talley inletted swivel studs,william 1pcs BM and lots of wood removal and shaping... then Jim floated and bedded the barreled action, put a finish on it and did a beautiful job of checkering. Now I'll top it with a leupy 4x and get to work. He created the rifle I've dreamed of for years. Like a father holding his new born child, I could look at this rifle for days on end.

Of course the wood is spectacular and I go for that for sure. In addition the stock work and its fine touches and edges are special. The checkering is conservative, as I like it, but first it's great art. All guns should be locked up when not in use!

True fair chase is you in the woods buttnaked with nothing but your finger nails and teeth. If you'e fixin' to put a hole in something, make it a hole to remember.
