MAKE ME AN OFFER
I have a BRAND NEW IN BOX - NEVER BEEN FIRED - NEVER EVEN BEEN TAKEN OUT OF THE PROTECTIVE FACTORY PLASTIC WRAPPER - High Standard Victor 5 1/2 barrel w/ all the original papers and box.
The box doesn't even have any wear as the box was wrapped in brown paper at the dealership when I bought it over 30 years ago. I worked at the dealership at the time and scoffed it as soon as it came in.
Looking to trade for a Custom XP-100. Maybe a special AR black gun, G2, or Encore.
Or make me a cash offer so I can buy other toys?
Gun was bought new in July 1978 The serial numbers begin with ML32XXX and was one of the first to go through at the new East Hartford plant.
As to the photos - I don't know how to post them. SO....
Here's the direct links so you can view them if your interested:

Does this have the push-button takedown system or the allen screw take-down system? Vent rib or solid rib on the barrel?
Is this the 107 Series grip?
Is the serial number prefixed with "SH"?

Not Houston if it is 30+ years old, but more likely the last few years of High standard manufacturing. I believe they folded about 1985-88?.

I have a Trophy with the SHCS vs takedown button, still a nice trigger compared to the Houston guns, which I also have one of.

Push button take down system. Vent rib. prefix ML not SH. Don't know on the 107 series. Link to the photos are listed at the start of post now.

Here are the links to the photos of the gun. Don't listen to the nut... there is no virus. It shows right in the url that it's going to PhotoBucket where the pictures are. In any case here is the direct links again:

The gun was made in Connecticut - NOT Texas. It is a real High Standard - not one of those clones they made AFTER High Standard closed up. It is stamped right on the barrel that it is made in CT. It has a ML serial number (MLXXXX).
Best shooting 22LR pistol made. They stopped making them almost 30 years ago. This one is BRAND NEW - Unfired & still in the wrapper after 32 years. I bought it in July of 1978 and have the papers to prove it.

No kidding.... I'm sorry. The photobucket pics were working before.

In any case - PM me if you'd like and give me an email address to send them to and I will send you full pics of the gun.

I would like to get $850 for the gun, plus actual shipping costs. I have been told that these New in Box are impossible to find. That the value for NIB is $1100. if and when you can find it. Used ones are $750 for really good shape and $650 for average - worn condition.
So I think that $850 is a low price. But I just want to buy a XP-100 that my dealer has and that's what he wants for it. So I'm not looking to make a killing - just to trade over. In fact - adjusted for inflation... it's just about what I paid for the gun back in 1978.
I have all papers for the gun. I bought in brand new in summer of 1978.

Thanks for your interest,
Dave
