My 99F is 1 in 14. It shoots 100gr flat base Sierra's well. Haven't tried other maker's 100gr flat bases because the Sierras work on the whitetails we have in the Adirondacks. My gun will not stabilize the boat tail 100s because of bullet overall length, as stated above.

My rifle has the 1-14 twist and has be re-chambered to Ackley improved. As long as I keep the velocity up to 25-06 levels, the 100, 117 and 120 gr bullets all group less than 2". I have bigger groups with the 75 gr and 87 gr bullets. I use the loads listed in the Sierra manual. I've yet to see keyholing with the longer bullets.

You must really be pushing the pressures to get 25-06 velocities from a 250AI!
What kind of rifle are you using?

Wow!
You must load HOT to get 25-06 velocity out of a 250AI, even with a 26" barrel.

Shoot some and find out. I would bet against them stabilizing.
Barnes made a 75 grainer that would.
I still have some 90 grain Barnes that patterned poorly. Make that awfully poorly.
The 87 gran Speer Hot Cores are hard to beat.sub one inch three shot groups are pretty roiutine. Took away my interest in shooting 100 grainers unless a bear is on the agenda.
I have some 100 grain Swifts and 100 grain Core-Lokts loaded to match factory velocity too (Mine is a 1917 1899 TD)It gets 1'1/2-2in groups with 100 grainers.

Shot my 99 EG 24", 1 in 14 twist, Tang sight bead front sight. Need a scope to get repeatable results. 100 gr Honady Sp point show signs of tipping at 50 yards. 100 Gr Rem do not seem that accurate in my rifle look stable. Too bad as I have several boxes.
100 Gr Speer, 87 Gr Speer shoot well in my rifle, with 87 gr speer seems to be the most accurate. The 85 Gr Barnes X (old style is showing promise, and looks stable in my rifle. May be to the 24" barrel and extra speed have not chrongraped loads.
Still looking for 1" Weaver U mounts for my 99 EG.
