We went on a hunting trip of a different kind. This time for hidden treasure. A friend had bought some 308 ammo back during the Clinton years and hidden it in a root cellar somewhere in Central Montana. Without GPS or any current navigational help, we went in search of the buried treasure. We found the cellar almost completely buried and started digging... After the use of a spud bar, a pick and shovel we were able to dig down to the bottom of the door and finally get the door open... Working together we were able to get the ammo, still in sealed containers, out the small opening into the fresh air it hadn't seen for some time.... The truck knew it had a load when we headed out to see about shooting some prairie dogs before turning back to go home before dark. Now I have a bunch of 308 ammo that needs to be sold, I guess I had better find out what it is worth and see about liquidating my treasure.

He is in Indiana, lost all interest in guns and is now flying a Gyro-copter. He wants to sell the ammo to help pay for a new rotor on the Gyro.
Believe me I couldn't make this up!

I have a .308 and if it were me it would be getting liquidated through my .308.

All these snake stories...it was only 20 degrees, not much to fear from a 20 degree snake.

Do that in Louisiana and all you'd find is wet ammo crates and water moccasins.
