I have a tikka t3 and i love it! Im getting .5 inch groups at 100 yards. I just wanted to see what everybody else is getting with thier tikkas. What type of groups are you geeting out of your tikka's?

Just sold my 25-06 Tikka T3 to pay for a Marlin MR7 280 that is going to be a collectors item some day. I never shot it much but it did 3/4 inch groups with the handloads I threw together to try it out. Probably could have done much better with a little work to find out what it liked to eat. I will be replacing the Tikka with another soon.
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost....

Tikka 25-06 1/2" 3 shot groups 5 shot groups at 3/4" to 1" tough to beat.
I've always been different with one foot over the line.....

Every post I've seen raves about their accuracy so I'm sure they are great shooters. I just can't get past their looks. I think they are the ugliest bolt action rifle on the market. Of course, I like the look of a traditional Mauser action.... Ruger 77, Win 70, CZ 550, etc.. also love the looks of the Kimbers.

My T3 will hold MOA to 300 yards, 5 shot groups with a couple of different loads, but not all loads. They are ugly, but I love the way the pistol grip feels and the short bolt lift. Trigger ain't bad either.

They seem to be love or hate...and the line is pretty much drawn in the same place. People that love them, love how well they shoot. People that hate them, hate either the looks or the amount of plastic. They are a lot of rifle for the money but they do nothing for me.

My brother picked up a T3 in 7mm Rem at Christmas... the damn thing would only shoot 1.5"-2" groups with 120 NBTs at 3500fps... so I walked out to the 300 yard berm, grabbed the target, and moved it back to 100 yards...
I've been more than impressed by the accuracy of the Tikka T3s I've tinkered with... I could love one... if it weren't 70% plastic.
You better pray to the God of Skinny Punks that this wind doesn't pick up......

My 3 are all sub moa with factory ammo all day long.

My T3 Lite in .243 shoots 80 gr Rem factory ammo into one hole at 100 yards. It shoots 75 gr V-Maxs over Varget the same. I haven't tried any heavier bullets yet. I am anxious to try TSXs and the E-Tips.
My T3 Lite in .300 Win Mag is a handful off the bench, but still shoots sub-MOA.

I've said it before. It'll shoot Remington 180 Core-Lokts MOA 200 yds.
I don't like the plastic. It is nice and light to carry.
I sold a fancy Finnbear and kept my T3.

I have 3 and had another that I gave to some young hunters who are sons of a friend I guided to their first deer, hogs and bobcat - all taken with what was then my Tikka T3 270 Win and is now theirs...
I replaced the 270, and have a 25-06 and 223 in T3's in the stable now.
All 4 rifles have shot every load and every offering of factory ammo which I have run through them sub MOA.
I have thrown all kinds of cheap/reman ammo at the 223, and have run a half dozen offerings through the 25-06 and 270 Win.
Their accuracy and lack of finickiness is astounding, IMHO.
Excellent barrels, triggers, mfg. tolerances, balance and the stiffness of the closed action all factor in IMHO.

That is awesome. Plastic bugs me a little but it is the dang feel of them I can't warm to no matter how I try. I think it might just be I hate the checkering. Dang shame for sure.

They're not pretty, but they sure are functional.
I have made a few remarkable shots with them offhand, and they just balance and point extremely well. With my triggers around 2lbs, they are very friendly to shoot. I called in and killed a bobcat facing me at between 60-70 yards a couple of nights ago. I couldn't get a rest, and he was fixing to leave, but I never hesitated to take him in the chest as he came out of the brush. I had my whole family with me, from my 2 YO to my wife, and I kind of wanted to finish the deal on the cat after calling him in since I had the whole crew along.
I killed a running hog at around 200 yards while with my Dad, as well, and the rifle just lined up and swung just right as I swung past his nose and touched it off and hit him just in front of his ear.
I'm no great shot, but these rifles are sure easy to shoot. They've got just the right amount of beef in the barrel, IMHO.

Your target is upside down. We're you shooting standing on your head? Get everything right side up and your group may shrink.

I have (3) Tikkas and I really like them all. (2) are wood and blue of which the 6.5x55 is one. The most accurate firearm I have ever owned. One is a 30-06 in a laminate grey, weather seal which Cabelas had as a special run about 5 years ago. Shot a 1" group first time after breakin with H-4350 and 165's so the load developement ended there, 165 TSX. Buckfever 1
