In this country ? what are the odds ? I dunno, it's ironic. The negros used to work for us, choppin' cotton and fetchin' the watermelons and suchlike. Lincoln freed them and now lots of us work to support folks on welfare. Kinda ironic, ain't it?

The most serious, radical political movement right now is the Tea Party. I just saw a pledge that they want their candidates to sign. One of the provisions of the pledge is that the candidate will work within current law. Imagine that. They want people to work within the laws set up by a system that insure it's continuation.
Do you think the original Boston Tea Party was legal?
That pledge is BS that will only insure the failure of the Tea Party movement. And it's an illustration of how corrupted the whole system is and how it has corrupted nearly everybody.
I agree, the chances of any sort of civil war or revolt are about a whopping zero right now.

Boy, I hope not. I would like to enjoy life. I'm at that age where shooting folks just isn't as appealing as it once was. If I had to, I guess I could get back in the swing of things. When you reach a certain age, you begin to really hope tyranny can be stopped at the ballot box, so you can sit in your recliner and eat chips and drink a beer in peace. If someone does come along and screws that up, I'll do my best to make the bastids pay.  JM
