Got me a new toy, I got one of Dedicated Technology's Wildcat guns he took the 6.8 SPC and necked it down ie: 6mm WOA but then he blew out the shoulder's 30* I am guessing like an "ackley" version anyway was going to load some 70 Gr matchkings ( I friend gave me 300 or so) I figured they would or should fly good but was wondering if anyone has had any experience with their "stopping" power not going to make a living off Hides thus not an issue. Thanks By the way he's calls it the 6mm DTI (D-Tech Improved)

I tried .224 52gr MK and they bored right through groundhogs. I was not impressed. If you can afford a box of hunting bullets, I'd buy them and save the MKs for sighters. There is just no good reason to use MKs for hunting varmints.

I use that bullet out of my 6mm Rem for ground hog. Works great for that. It might be too explosive if you want the pelts?

I would think they would work great. Probably won't be to explosive unless range is close.

The 70 grain Sierra HPBT Matchking is extremely accurate, it will give amazingly small groups in some rifles. However, it is extremely erratic on game. When shooting prairie dogs, ground squirrels, and coyotes with them I found them to be unpredictable.

I had the same problem with the 52 grain HPBT Sierra's in my 22-250's. One would expand dramatically while the next would just go through the animal like a spear.

For the 6mm, I think your best choice in a Sierra bullet would be the 80 grain Blitz. It has worked great for me in my 6mm Remington. Performance is predictable and the accuracy is nearly as good. Good enough that I have killed prairied dogs in excess of 750 yards with them.

Personally I have had exceptional performance from the 85 grain Sierra BTHP Gameking. That is the bullet I would center my loading around in a 6mm WOA.

Barnes makes a 6mm frangible 63 grain Varmint Grenade that should be a great bullet for varmints and predators.

+1... one of the better choices... a surefire, do it all bullet...
they will ricochet off of ice or frozen ground....

i have used a couple of boxes of the 70 matchking and had no problems with them... i used them mostly on red fox and crows...
my choice of 70 gr bullets in recent years has been the ballistic tip.... superb performance on coyotes, and everything that i've shot with it....

I've found it to be a very accurate bullet. It my go-to bullet in my .243 for shooting prairie dogs when it gets too windy for the .223 or .22 Hornet. I can't imagine that there's a fox or coyote out that this bullet won't kill, whether it opens up or not!
