Saw this in my local fun shop. Struck me as "interesting". It has a stainless fluted barrel and a Lyman 4x scope. Nice trigger.
If this gets anyone horned up PM me and I'll shoot you the contact info.
I have absolutely no financial interest in this. Just seemed like an interesting rifle at at perhaps a good price.

I didn't recall that Kimber made any of those sporterized military Mausers in 300 H&H. Did the "300 H&H" markings on the barrel look "factory"? Dogzapper would probably know, since he was a trouble shooter for Kimber.

Yes, the markings looked factory. But a buyer needs to do their due diligence of course!

How would you accomplish "due diligence" on a used rifle that was put together from parts by a company that no longer exists?
Does it have the typical Ramline stock?

I didn't know they did a 300 H&H. I've seen 30-06 and 270 in walnut and synthetic stocks, fluted barrels on a 98 action. Any maybe a 300WM. I think I recall a magnum chambering but can't be sure. At the time these first came on my radar screen I was busy buying new a Kimber Swede 6.5. Definitely sounds interesting.

Jeff I don't know. In the guitar world, there's a body of knowledge out there about even the more obscure (but cool) stuff. I'd assume something similar happens in the gun world? Anyway I make no representations here... I'm not signing off on it's provenance or anything. Just struck me as interesting (and maybe cheap) so I thought I'd get it some exposure here 'cause it seemed unusual. Saw it again today. The stock is plastic. And I misspoke earlier. It's a Redfield 4x, the one with the wide ocular.

I know they did magnums, you can still buy some of the magnumed actions on gunbroker.
