On Feb 21 I listed several Encore items for sale in separate post. In less than an hour Northernkid agreed to buy all items listed in both post.My last PM from him on the 21st stated that he was going to get the money order on the 21st to get it mailed out. On Febuary 26th I sent a PM stating there might have been a mix up I had not received the MO. The next day Northernkid said he would see about getting another one mailed out.Well its March 6th and I have not received another PM from Northernkid or a MO. I feel ample time has been allowed for at least a response from him and dont believe the first MO was even sent. I hate to leave a post like this but think other members should know.

Did I miss a month somewhere? I thought it was March 6th.
Some people are procrastinators. I've had some deals drag out a month or so but generally things turn out OK in the end. You might tell your "buyer" that if you don't receive payment within a certain time, you'll sell your stuff to someone else and return his "lost" money order if and when it arrives.

Yeah I lost a month along the way April is wishfull thinking. I told Northernkid he had till today to let me know whats going on with the payment and no replies. I figure if I had a MO floating around I would be asking if it arrived yet.

Sorry to hear about the problem & thanks for the heads up. Hopefully you aren't out any money.
Everything you now do is something you have chosen to do. Some people don't want to believe that. But if you're over age twenty-one, your life is what you're making of it. To change your life, you need to change your priorities.

I for one thank you for the heads-up. I've now put Northernkid on ignore. That is a very useful feature of this site. Jerry/AK

No offense, just information.
Northernkid has not logged on since 2-27-2010.
Thanks for the heads up

Where do I find the "ignore" function and how do I check to see when someone logged on last?
What do you have for barrels for sale? I could be interested.

I agree with 28lx.
Moving on and relisting is a given but I want to know who the deadbeat "buyers" are.
Imagine the firestorm if oldman1942 were to refuse to pay for an item he committed to buy!

This is my personal policy; if someone says they will buy something I have listed here for sale, I PM him my personal details, address immediately. If I haven't received his Money Order in one week, I relist the item, unless other arrangements have been made. I have no obligation to "chase" someone who committed to buy something from me, moral, or otherwise. YMMV however.

Imagine the firestorm if oldman1942 were to refuse to pay for an item he committed to buy! This is probably going to be shocking and a little OT... but... I sold Oldman1942 a gun, he paid promptly and was a true gentleman to deal with... i shipped FedEx and there was TONS of problems, they shipped the wrong address, etc etc etc, he got the gun WEEKS late and damamged...Larry was very understanding and polite. I am not condoning his comments on other post or his selling practices, you can make those decision on your own... but he committed to buying a gun from me and he followed through, paid quickly, and forgave me for my faults. 'nough said... 28lx, personally, I thank you for the warning... some ppl sell things on here b/c they NEED money in a timely manner.

I was quite sure that Larry would act properly in a situation like you described. I'm very glad, and not surprised, to hear that he did so.
My point wasn't against Larry but instead toward those who seemed to think that committing to buy and then not following through was something not to be concerned with.
There would have been nothing but acrimonious condemnation had Larry done this.
Bad buyers need to be exposed along with bad sellers.

BTW, 28lx was the OP and the aggrieved party and not I.
