What are you guys bringing to shoot? Got it narrowed down to 221 Fireball, 243AI, 250AI, maybe the 270. The AR would be fun for a herd of pigs, but there is a bag limit........

I was just gonna touch base on gear and rigs, etc. What I was getting is that our rack will be getting a makeover after the brother finishes taking folks out so I'll be out of a calling rack. You mentioned your jeep and I was gonna barter with you to see if you'd bring it...grin...
I'll bring lights, halo shields, batteries, filters, night hunting rifle and shotgun, etc. I'll bring a Lightforce walkabout light setup so we don't have to pull your jeep battery nor have any external boat/car batteries to get in the way.
Told you were the caller, yes I'll be driving my Jeep down. This is my clean Jeep, so I'll bring the rack that fits on the back for the kills, we can pull the top set it out on the ground at camp area and I will need to put the back seat in before the great weekend, other than that we are a go. Bob needs a bobcat. I need a coyote or two and one hog. What do you want?

What are you guys bringing to shoot? Shoot? I thought the plan was we was gonna run the hogs down on foot and stick 'em with Bowie knives? I thought that's how it was done in Texas... Some do, the ones down around SE area of the state. I think they want more of a challenge, they get tired of rifles, then black powder, then pistols, after all of that the knife comes out. It's one of those here hold my beer and watch this deals. The beer helps.

I would like to shoot a couple hogs and varmints if possible, but mainly hogs as we have bobcats and coyotes here. We have a season on bobcats though.

Good... cause the only pig I'm gonna take on with a knife is gonna be about guppy-size anyway!
I'm bringing my 270 Wizzum and an AR, and at least one 1911 and prolly a Glock (handguns mostly for the LE conference in San Antonio the following week).

On the gun topic, is a #1 in 375 Ruger too big?
I think I'll try to juice up some 7.62 x 39's for my Rob Arms XCR. See how that works out.
What about a 44 Russian? Got a couple of oldies, if I can get close to a piglet? Can't do the handgun thing up here, so I think it would be cool.

Will also have to see if the S&W 44 Russian can do better than the 1858 Rem--converted to shoot 44 Russian as well. The Smith should be here any day now!!!
