I used to use a 7x61S&H on rabbit but that did less damage in some cases than my 22-250.
Have taken goat with my 404 just to blood it and hare with my 7x57.

This morning.
260 Rem. Shot a groundhog at about 70 yards while it was looking my way. Entry was small but the exit was wicked.

Muskrat at 75 yards with a 300 winmag. It was sitting on top of new ice on a slough. Very impressive explosion.

Back in my teenaged days, a 3" 12 gauge shell on a dragonfly, plus a few box turtles with a 35 Remington Marlin.

Scored a double on a couple yotes at a little over 200 yds with my 338 Ultramag while elk hunting once. Middle of the day, hot, no elk. I do believe I got some expansion of the 225 gr Accubonds judging from the exit wounds, yuck! sick

Armadillas have infested our lease in AL and I take every opportunity to dispose of them, usually with a big rock or stick. However, I learned that a 405 cast slug from my Marlin will absolutely unshuck one of the little varmints from his armor plate.

Took a 20# piglet 2 weeks ago with a 250 grain Interlock over 58.7 grains of RL-15 from a Whelen. The li'l guy was quartering toward me (about to charge...). .35 entrance hole, 4" x 12" exit hole, with entrails splaid out about 4' around. Nearly cleaned him with one shot!

I killed 5 prairie dogs with one shot from a 7mm mag. It blew the first two into little pieces and other three were all covered with the parts from the first two . I guess the concussion killed them other wise they were intact. To bad I can't show the picture on here it was pretty nasty.
